Celui qui n'a jamais résisté
au moindre de ses ennemis
n'est pas capable de voir
la beauté de cet acte
qui nous rend plus humain
face à la barbarie de l'horreur
qui ne cherche que la laideur
de la soumission des esclaves
seulement nous sommes nés
grâce aux sacrifices des anciens
tous libres et nous mourrons ainsi

He, who has never resisted
the slightest of his enemies,
is not able to see
the beauty of this act
which makes us more humane
against the barbarity of horror
which does not seek
but for ugliness
of the slaves' subjugation
except that we have been born
thanks to the sacrifices of the old;
all born free and this is how we shall die.
