Όταν κοιτάς το βλέμμα της Άπω Ανατολής
μπορείς να καταλάβεις το θαύμα της αγάπης
που άντεξε τα πάντα για μια ζωή.
Αλλιώς αν σ' ενοχλεί το κίτρινο μάθε
ότι το ίδιο κόκκινο αίμα βγαίνει
στα απάνθρωπα βασανιστήρια.
Μην κοιτάς μόνο τα πάθη σου
γιατί θα πιστέψεις ότι είσαι μόνη
ενώ όλη η ανθρωπότητα είναι.
Ο μόνος τρόπος για ν' αλλάξουν τα πράγματα
είναι να πληγώνεστε με τον ίδιο τρόπο
όπου και να είναι η πληγή της ανθρωπιάς.

Otherwise, if yellow bothers you, learn
that it is the same red blood that is shed
by the inhuman torture.
Don’t look only at your suffering,
because you will believe that you are alone
whereas that is what the whole humanity is.
The only way to change things
is that you get hurt in the same way
wherever the wound of humanity might be.
